TBH, I wasn't in any pain. It's the fourth time they've fixed the tooth. My dentist and I are trying to save the damn thing, but I fear it's a wasted hope. She did make me laugh when she said, "We'll give it another try with the filling, but I think we both know where this is going."
I was like:

Good to hear that you didn't have to suffer from the pain (hate it!), but indeed, if hopes are so low, then why even bother saving it? I just had the other tooth with lost filling removed a few weeks ago.

Ouch!!! That hurts so bad! I have the same, but 10 weeks waiting list to get an appointment for a dentist…
