it is lazyness. If we will talk about mass adoption, not everybody is like you and me who would bother making more than 2 clicks with page redirection just to say something. not everybody will easily understand and especially "try" to understand how it works.
people just want to turn on the tv, sit and watch.
people go to facebook scroll and waste 2 hours reading posts that were curated "automatically" for him.
they will go to youtube, find their favorite creator to watch or just watch the curated videos for him minimum to no buffering at all.
see? those giant platforms have mass adoption because they help the users. they make it simple and easy to just be entertained.
It is rather convenience than laziness. But basically we talk about the same. A platform needs to be user-friendly and easy-to-use to reach mass adoption.
