They should write comments, because they actually care about the content, and not because of financial incentives.
Like on a properly working social network.
Most Hive users are so focused on the rewards that they forget (do not care) about the content.
Many people step on each other even for a few cents, and even unique content is ignored/overlooked, which naturally stands out on properly working social network.
This is how people socially ruin an otherwise technically revolutionary platform.
But if they would actually care about the content, then the value of the Hive would be so much better.
It would easily outperform even Facebook too.
But nowadays Hive is doomed by the bad approach of most of its users.
To see good change, most Hive users need to change their main focus from the rewards to the content.
Very simple, when you are sending a post in any community, all you have to do is add @commentrewarder as beneficiary of the post with a 3%. Recommend you to access @commentrewarder and read. It's very simple.
I use @commentrewarder on many of my posts. It allows me to share the rewards my post earns with the comments from people that I give comment votes to.

Yep, people don't read posts anymore unless it's required in writing challenges. 😆
How do I use it?

It's going to be useless on my posts tho because only curators usually comment on my post. 😅 It's nice as an incentive though.
