My daughter puts in effort to make friends, like you do. Last week a crow with an injured wing came to her and she was able to take it to a trusted rehab center.

Oh my goodness!!!! That is so incredible! Bless her heart as well, for being kind enough to do her part for that little beauty :)
The rescue center could not find anything wrong with the birds wing and suspected West Nile. It seems there has been a big increase in the disease here in Wisconsin. Corvids (crows, blue jays, and ravens) are the most susceptible to dying from the disease. They were going to begin treatment.
Oh no - that just made me cry a little tear - I don’t know why a broken wing seemed so much better, but for some reason it did 😢
Same here. The center does not have the manpower to notify of progress, but at the end of the year will send out a report to let her know if the bird died or was released.
I wouldn’t be able to read it - next year, he’s off, harassing an owl somewhere just for the thrill of being chased; evading death just for kicks. Id believe that and never read the report, personally 🐦⬛
Also, may I say that that is a great photo of a particularly photogenic crow? ❤️
