Not only the creatures but also the people. I was lucky that I had never experienced something like this. The worst thing I experienced was last year when the cellar was flooded. On the other side, I was lucky bc it was not completely flooded and I know people in different areas around me who lost their houses or the complete village.

We do take air for granted, until it's no longer easy to breathe and there is not a datn thing we can do about it besides staying indoors beside the airfilter.
Flooding is an awful thing. I live on the banks of a river, but my house is high enough that I have never had to worry. Several of my neighbors have had to sandbag to protect their homes, One home had to be demolished. It was beyond repair.

That is true... I'm also living far away from any river. The ground was really dry and it was raining for so long and so much that the canalization could not handle it.
