Engagement is certainly good, but only if it is natural, genuine, real. If people force themselves to do it, then it is not good.

Agreed. There's a lot of comments for their own sake that add nothing to the conversation.

And there are a lot of newbies who are thrilled to get a single comment on their post. Maybe you don't appreciate short comments on your posts, but there are many who are grateful to know that someone stopped by. ♥️

I get that, but there may be people who just try to rack up their numbers. That said, it has never got as bad as Tsu where we had a flood of users just saying 'Nice post' or similar. I expect things will evolve as Hive grows.

I think most people do pretty well with comments. If you see someone making cut and paste comments let me know and I'll be happy to instruct them, but usually those people don't make many friends and don't stay long.

If you ever look at Steemit you will see how bad it could be.

Please ma I want to ask do we have a limited number of comment for each day?
Because I made a post about my goals and making 50 comment was among and seeing this looks like I did the wrong thing. Please I just want to know so I can be guided

You are doing great! One word comments are not counted on the Leaderboard and they don't earn points. Seeing comments on your post, or on your Wave is always encouraging, especially for newbies, so keep it up!

Thanks so much
