In all honesty: it makes the earth look insignificant, doesn't it?

Sure, it is insignificant, weβ€˜re insignificant, compared to the vastness of space, dont we?!

Fully agreed!

But it might just be different. Imagine if we are actually a destructive force in the universe.

A little while ago, I thought about what space actually could be.
What if we are just dust that is gathered in a house of someone where time moves different.. and that place is a lot larger, but where they, too, are in a universe that is just dust.

This would definitely be an ever-expending universe.
And mind-boggling. My explanation doesn't do the thought justice

I get it, i know exactly what you mean, been through many of those thought experiments back in the days, acid helps a lot with stuff like this πŸ‘‰πŸ½πŸ€ͺπŸ‘ˆπŸ½

And I have never even done acid.. imagine what that would end up with πŸ˜‚

Happy Earth Day, thanks for sharing the very first photo of earth from spaceπŸ™πŸ‘β˜ΊοΈ
