comes to mind is peer to peer something i've never done but, well, all learning.
Peer-to-peer is still done best when you personally know the person you are trading with, which I hope you find soon. π€π€ !INDEED
Did try but same thing ,uk nope' I might contact one of the exchanges see if they gonna change this sometime.
But it's OK, still learning hive anyway.
I think, but not tried yet, that moving stuff within crypto land is OK, just from banks to exchanges.
If you have crypto from other blockchains, then you !INDEED might be able to use decentralized exchanges to buy HIVE. π π€
Here's what I gather is the lowdown via talking to coinbase and binance.
If you're in the uk, you cannot make a new crypto account.
Seems to apply to them all, including p2p.
My problem is the ones I'm on don't do hive.
However, I might have found a swap one which I think might do the job.
Simple exchange, called something like that, if works will post.
In many cases, wherever you live won't matter when you join a decentralized exchange, though you would mostly be limited to crypto-to-crypto exchanges. π€ The same goes for no-signup centralized exchanges. π€

Is it necessary to buy hive? a seemingly impossible task if you're in the uk.
It's not necessary to buy HIVE (or HBD) to be on Hive. π§ββοΈ Having more HIVE (which you would stake to Hive Power) would !INDEED help you increase your curator rewards (up to 10% APR), interest from inflation (about 3% APR), and influence on who becomes Top Hive Witnesses and which funding proposals on Hive would get approved. π€ We can also say that another important thing besides having a good amount of Hive tokens is the content that you publish on the blockchain. π
Many thanks, I'm slowly getting the idea, tho words like hive power, witness, delegate, curator etc are still words that are a mystery.
But with the help of yourself and others am getting there.
Me thinks hive&co could do with a 'this is how things work' page at beginning.
