The Facebook group in which I post is also tiny (1200 members). Personally I do not know most of them. Only a very few of them. Yet they actually care about the content. On the Hive blockchain "everyone wants to be creator".
This alone would not necessarily be a problem. But the fact that almost no one actually cares about the content is. I write more than 200 words, and then all I receive is "nice photos".
The lack of content consumers on the Hive blockchain is honestly much more frustrating than anything on the Facebook.
I see it as an issue of scale. A big FB group will have a common interest. Hive is more diverse. A lot of people are just here for the money, but I see plenty who enjoy engaging. My experience may be different to yours and we should not assume that what we see is typical.
