People are usually excited for the new year but for some strange reason if you ask a majority, they tend to say that January is usually a long tough month financially for reasons best known to themselves. This is true because I have seen all sorts of posts on social media of people consoling themselves that this month will end and should end already. Most eagerly anticipating for their salaries this week or early next week.
The major reason for such alarms is simply the lack of financial planning and discipline. You probably spent too much of your money during Christmas and New Years Eve having been paid pre-Christmas time. The only way to cushion yourself from this herd mentality is having a budget and actually sticking to it.
For it is true that January like every other month with 31 days is no special nor unique and the financial obligations are known to you early in advance. They do not come as a surprise. Which is why I will delay to have kids, babies are expensive , lol. Like literally, school fees, changing diapers, feeding someone and giving them the attention they deserve is too much work, I barely have time for myself....but that's me.
I have made it a personal ambition to know where my money is going in terms of expenditure this year. You should too. Do not throw away your money for something you do need and thereafter complain that you are not getting wealthy. People who are wealthy are frugal with their money. They do not do things to please people, they also do not complain that January is tough for them.

But I never get how people suffer i January, you knew it was coming plan for it or even make plans for the holidays just ended and avoid all this January hustle.

Personally, I refused to give into the hard times mentality. Even when business was hard, especially last year because of the elections, I never allowed myself to accept defeat!

Its a good month to set your expectations for the year. If you start well then you end well. Its not an easy month but with a simple budget everything turns out fine.
