# The Joy and Refreshments Of The First Rain In Year 2018

It was a thing of Joy to experience the beginning of another raining season after a long drought and a persisting Harmattan season.
Although there has being signs of rain in the pas few days here in Kabba Kogi State of Nigeria but the weather has been pretty bad and not conducive at all, the rain is what I call an answer to the prayer of a lot of people over here, as the heat is becoming so unbearable.
Finally the long awaited rain started at about 2am and finally stop around 4am this morning February 20th.
God is great instantly the situation changed from what it used to be i was refreshed and i must confess it was the best night so far this year.
The weather is now conducive and pleasing, the environment looks calm and comfortable, now farmers are happy because the rain brings hope of a new cropping season.
Now we hope for more of the rain and it is my earnest prayers that the rain this year will not cause any casualty and will not bring about flood as experienced last year in Benue State.
