It seemingly came out of nowhere. Hurricane Michael that is. Forming off the Yucatan peninsula, Tropical Depression Michael dumped a lot of rain on Cuba and Mexico. Once it got into the Gulf of Mexico the storm started to intensify. As of the most recent update, the storm is now a category 3 storm and heading for Panama City, Florida.
It is predicted to be a Category 3 storm when hits the Florida panhandle. Luckily, we are a little ways away from where the eye is projected to hit, but the longer the storm heads North at a slow pace, the worst it may get for us.
The pressure is continuing to drop, which makes one think it may increase in power as time goes on. There is a pressure system that may push the storm towards east towards us which I am not hoping for! I’ll keep you updated.
We have stocked up on water, non-perishable food items, and gasoline. Hopefully we don’t lose power!
Below is the projected path aka the “cone of uncertainty” which is where the storm is most like to go.

Is anyone else in the way of Hurricane Michael? If so, be safe!!
Glad you've prepped up and have supplies. Stay safe out there, buddy. Fill a backpack with silver and cinch it down tight so you don't get blown away! It's a FEMA-approved technique. ;)
Hahaha I love this! That silver will hold me put!!
Thank you for your continued support of SteemSilverGold
Oh man. Stay safe.
Just heard that it’s expected to strengthen to a category 4 overnight. I don’t know how close you are to the expected landfall, but I wouldn’t want to stick around for it even if you’re not near the eye.
Be safe and don’t lose your hat, bro.
Good news though...
The Seminoles football team is taking the week off. That means they can’t lose for at least another week and a half!
Yeah it was a legit 155 mph winds. Complete nuts. My girlfriends family west of here in Snead’s and Blountstown are leveled. Mexico beach which is close by doesn’t exist from what our friends down there are saying
Hope you’re alright out there. Things kind of blew up overnight. Let us know how you’re doing when you get a chance.
Man we lucked out! A bunch of trees down all over town and no power anywhere but the eye hit about land west of us and stayed west of us. We had Gusts about 75-85 probably but nothing like west of here. Some towns are completely destroyed.
This one was devastating. We got hit directly with Irma last year and still have to replace our roof and get a tree that fell side ways removed. Irma was scary....I can only imagine what Michael must have been like for those who stayed.
