Firstly thanks for the follow @alex-rourke and this is an interesting post as it resonates with me a lot. I used to be a freelance and at one point in time tried out the British equivalent of Fivver and Upwork, People per hour or PPH for short. It was pretty good to start with but then the projects started to become more complex and the budgets in time and money on offer started to become silly. The reason being that other countries could take on these projects and cheaply. The difference in economy, living costs in the UK versus India are huge. So such platforms have become unviable for most Western workers where inflation has been high for years.

However Web 3 is a different kettle of fish. I’ve been taking Hive seriously and actually feel that I get more out of this than I do on Substack and so on.

My #hivesoundlibrary project is just one of those things that I want to boost on here in terms of productivity and to run it as a part-time business alongside my current day job which is fully remote anyway

No two hour drives for me.
