very good question my friend. It is a tradition in the country side of the US to have guns in weddings to show a strong lasting marriage that will be defended at any cause. :)

The decoration is impressive, everything very tidy and very showy with the lights. The design of the cakes is very nice with the details and everything that it contains, I'm sure it was a moment to enjoy and share with the newlyweds.
With the good day they guessed right, quite comforting. Everyone looks very elegant with that combination of gray and navy blue, I'm glad that your friend has found the right person and I wish him much happiness on my part.

Marriage is the combination of two hearts and two souls, which join each other on this special day of your wedding. Wishing you two a very happy and blessed married life!
Mine was really pleasant which I attribute to the fact that we never lost sight of the fact that it was our day and nobody else's. We had a very low key marriage and a small reception for just the family. We didn't go overboard and turn it into a massive production, we kept the focus on declaring our love for each other and life commitment in a formal and legal setting in front of anyone who wanted to attend and be a part of it with us. There was some pressure from our families to try and do things their way but we made it very clear that we were not interested thanks very much.
I was able to relax and enjoy the day without worrying about timing, food, flowers, seating arrangements etc. It was just a fun day that we both enjoyed and people still tell me was one of the best weddings they attended.
Of course I was incredibly lucky to have a bride who felt the same way I did and wanted everything to be low key as well.
