Wednesday Night: A Brief, Necessary Break

It’s only Wednesday night, and it already feels like I’ve lived through a full week. A thousand things done, deadlines piling up, and the weekend still feels so far away. To top it off, I know next week will be even more hectic than this one. But tonight, I’ve decided to take a short break.

After dinner, I’m sitting down with a beer in hand, flipping through random TV channels. I’m not really looking for anything interesting, just trying to distract myself, to switch my brain off for a moment.

I don’t know if you’ve ever had those moments where you’re exhausted but can’t stop thinking about everything you still need to do. Sometimes, though, you just need to hit pause and find refuge in the small, everyday things. For me, tonight it’s this beer and the background noise of the TV that are giving me a little escape.

The week is only halfway through, but tonight I’m making peace with the tiredness and enjoying this brief moment. Tomorrow, it all starts again, but for now, I’m savoring the quiet between shows.

Honestlty, I have no clue how people manage to work a full-time job and combine it with having a family, doing what is needed to stay healthy (work out, eat healthily, sleep enough), while also getting in some entertainment, keep up with social activities, their financial situation, ...

I agree with you. I'm working on it so this can change for me 😊
