Thanks, @Janton! I'm doing great! The rain cooled down the temperatures a bit and it feels so refreshing!
It is so nice to have the windows open for a change! I'm going to miss those Orioles when they leave in a couple of weeks to head south. They provide so much color and life to the backyard all summer long

howdy melinda010100! I know the rain is wonderful, we need more of that here in Texas. Do you have plants or a garden or anything like that in the backyard?

I have a lot of flowers and bushes planted around the house, but in the backyard it's mostly a strip of woods, and then the river. Some of my neighbors houses set lower than mine does and they're worried about how fast the river is rising from all the rain. The governor has declared a state of emergency. Some areas north of us got 12 inches.

holy moly! 12 inches..wow. well I think you've had enough of that for wahile and I hope it stopped. but your backyard sounds wonderful, isn't it hard to mow with alot of trees or is there so many trees that there isn't much grass?

There are more thunderstorms predicted for tomorrow, we'll see what happens . The lawn care service is out there right now mowing my lawn, but I don't have much to worry about!
