Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by @tattoodjay, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start.
And this is my entry for this week!
The Cable Company is working in the neighborhood to get their cable down from the poles and get it all buried underground. It will be great....eventually!
But for now it is a mess!
But if I move around back where they are not working I find some loveliness!
This is Jake..he has been coming for free sunflower seed handouts from my daughter since he got out of the nest earlier this summer. He has the fluffiest tail and is braver around people than his 2 siblings.
The neighborhood spiders have been busy!
I have seen more butterflies this summer than I have for the past few years. This Giant Swallowtail seemed ok with posing for a photo.
And one last flower photo before I go back in. Thunderstorms are predicted for the day and temperatures are going to be cooler.
Today is the last day to enter this week's Shadow Contest!- Shadow Photo Contest Round 31- Creature Feature
The Shadow Photo Contest is a @photofriend supported project.

LOve the nature shots so beautiful
The cable laying makes a mess but will e good once all done when storms come through dont have to worry about trees knocking. Down power lines
Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk
Tip!
The poles and lines are in my back yard between me and the river and end up in every photo I try to take. The power company buried their wires a few years ago, so the cable company is the last wire that has been holding up pole removal. I will be thrilled when it is done!

Hi @melinda010100! You have received 0.1 SBD tip from @tattoodjay!Can i join?
Of course! It happens every Wednesday! Wednesday Walk rules I'll look forward to seeing your walk!
Oh thanks.
Lovely walk once you got by the construction to the squirrel with the fluffiest tail , butterfly and the beautiful flowers. 😊 🐿
I will be so glad when they are done. I'm hopeful they will clean it up nicely! Do you think they will?
Not to worry. It will be done nicely- no poles or cable above ground once they finish. Here they can’t put cables underground- something to do with the magnetic field.
Really? That's interesting! It will so good to get rid of the poles and wires. They are in the way of my view of the river, and wreck every photo I try to take in the direction!
Useful posts melinda010100, sometimes we have to be patient and careful in working especially in cable installation.
They better do a good job! That's where my internet comes from so it is an important cable!
Once it's useful for us to be able to play the Internet.
I don't know what I would do without it!😃
Great Wednesday Walk post @melinda010100 too bad the construction was in the way at the beginning. Have a great Wednesday!
The construction equipment has vanished...now it's just the mess out there! The cable is on top of the ground, so I do hope they come back soon to finish up. Hope your Wednesday is great too!
Jake looks really adorable. It would be great to go walking in your neighborhood is beautiful
Someday!!
So shall. And it will be great...
Looks like an interesting walk @melinda010100 with a nice variety of phototgraphs.
My favourites are the black and white cob web and the hydrangea. Very pretty. 😊
Thanks! I liked how that cobweb photo turned out, too. It was a good morning for taking pictures.
You live in a beautiful area!
It is lovely. I love living here...maybe not so much in January!
Congratulations for your birthday Melinda, although I follow you, my updates do not arrive. Well, it's never too late for a congratulation, there are many more.
It is hard to keep up with everyone! I know I miss so much. Thanks for good wishes, my friend!😃
That digger is at a jaunty angle? Hope they do a good job on the cable. The squirrel looks pretty tame. Did you feed it? You got some lovely shots. Love those daisies.
I took a walk today too and will post about it tomorrow. It's so late here and I need my beauty sleep lol
I'm sure Jay won't mind :)
They got caught in the rain and I suspect that digger may have been partially stuck and they just left it!
It is my daughter that feeds the rodents ! Today she was out there feeding the chipmunks chunks of banana from her hand. She loves them.
I'll be waiting to see your walk! Sleep well!
Chipmunks eating bananas sounds so cute :) Good photo op? ;)
I didn't get any...I'll ask if she did!
Wonderful creations next to construction works. Great work in finding such specimens. Greetings my friend :)
Thanks! Having construction equipment on my dead end road is something of a novelty! I usually only see 5or 6 cars a day, and they are mostly the same ones each day. So the machinery livened things up a bit!
I'll be over to see what you are up to....
Oh for sure my dear. I remember in Palatine where I used to live was a lot od exitment when some truck came or firetruck :) Greetings
Palatine! You lived just down the road! I live just off Hwy 14.(N.Hicks Rd)... Only in Wisconsin. We were practically neighbors! 😃 well, ok. 80 miles apart neighbors!
Hello mom, Very interesting posts, may I join you? 😊
Everyone is welcome!😃
Thank you very much mom :)
A lot is going on on your street :) I can see that still during so much noise you know how to find oasis of peace :) Good for you my dear :)
They are really drawing this project out, I'm expecting they may be here the rest of the summer. Sometimes 3 or 4 days pass without any work being done at all...and it's peaceful again then!
Soon you will tell them goodbye and it will be peaceful again. Greetings, my dear
Your post is amazing and as usual your photography is great, specially I like that purple "liatris-blazing star"😊 waiting for your replyHi dear @melinda010100 , can I try for this contest & How? Please reply !!

Hello, this looks really good. I hope your day is fun :)
Thanks!! Hope you have a good day, too!
Nice little walk you took. I agree, this year there has been a huge amount of butterflies in my garden and a nice variety too.
I'm so glad you are seeing butterflies! I was worried! I can't say I have seen a huge amount, but seeing a couple is far more than I have seen the past 3 or 4 years when there have been none!
Thank you for your contribution to the "pc-nature" tag
Cheers,

@photocircle TeamI love the nature photos! I always love seeing squirrel photos in particular even though there are squirrels everywhere. They are just so cute! I'm not one to like spiders but that is a beautiful web shot you captured.
Thanks! My daughter is the family rodent lover. She has them eating out of her hand.
Aww that is so sweet!
