I took these photos as I waited for my turn in the program. I was the guest speaker for a group of around 150 who gathered at this resort called “La Bella Vida”.
I am not much for sitting in one place, so as I waited for my turn in the front, I went for a walk around the resort,
Going from place to place snapping phtoos along the way with my Huawei Nova 2i.
Orchids have always been one of my favorite flowers ever since I went to the Botanical Gardens in Washington DC during an orchid festival. One of the cool things, living in a tropical climate, orchids seem to flourish here without much intervention care.
I am not so sure what this flower is called, but they are unique and beautiful. Check out the stalk.
This one is called saguin saguin. It looks like an Iris, but most are over 6 feet tall and the blooms the size of a large grapefruit.
The place has 4 swimming pools.
A few more assorted flowers.
I looked at the clouds and the sky. The sky looked so blue and the clouds unique so I stopped them in time with a photograph.
Thank you for your time!
Daddy William

Thank you my friend!
Beautiful flower photography. I have saguin saguin in my garden. We call them canna lilies, although they are not actually a lily. I recognize plumbago and hibiscus too. The orchids are stunning!
Thank you so much for your comments and for stopping in for a look. It is neat to know the names of plants and animals from different countries. Hibiscus here in the Philippines is Gamamela.

I have always loved orchids. My current favorite is what they call dancing ladies. I have them growing several places in my yard. The bloom is only the size of a fingernail, but look at the detail and it is easy to see how they got their name.
Very cool. We grow orchids only indoors in Florida. I guess they would get too much water!
They thrive here. Tropical climate. Take a cutting and tie it to a tree and it will eventually grow and attach itself.
Cool! They are such perfect looking works of nature!
The dancing lady has eyes, a veil, sleeves and a bonnet and a flowing dress. Incredible.
So aptly named!
