Hi Hivers, welcome to the first Wednesday of the new year. Gosh! I'm amazed that the days goes by so swiftly.
Waking up this morning ,I just realized that today is 4th January 2023. It's still a holiday , so I thought of what to do to make it a remarkable one .
A sensible thought stroke my mind . It's more than a decade and I have not visited the stream ,especially the stream in my hometown . Immediately I had to set off to my hometown . It was really fun meeting people that I missed for quite a long time .
Surprisingly , I saw something that reminded me of our culture .THE MASQUERADE.Its called EKPO in our native dialect . I rarely see this In the city .I remember when I was a child, I was always scared and would even cry each time I see the masquerade
But anyways, that was not the main reason I went to my hometown today. My intension was to visit the stream .After exchanging pleasantries , I went right away to the stream together with my siblings and cousins . It was indeed fun.
This stream has been here even before I was born. It is located in a mini forest. It is surrounded by trees, herbs , shrubs , planktons and tiny fishes . Some herbs around the stream are used for medicinal purposes . The stream looks shallow initially but gets deeper when you forge ahead.
People from other villages always come over to have their bath , Swim, wash and lots more .
My first Wednesday of the year was indeed thrilling , I'm super excited for sharing my Wednesday experience with you all . Thank you for reading my post see you next Wednesday . Happy new year once again , do have a nice time.
Much love 💖
