Winter was kind of thrown upon us bringing the cold but also the beauty of a snowy landscape.
We bundle up on the cold snowy days and get Bruno, our dog, (and ourselves) out for a walk.
I love the winter wonderland the snow creates in the forest and field around us.

That evening as my husband walked the dog off into the sunset heading for home I turned around and found the moon rising as the sun was setting so I had to grab some pictures!

It was crystal clear so I took the chance to get some close ups of the moon which was a half moon. This made the details of the craters on the surface of the moon really stand out on the edge of the shadowy side. Have a look!

I hope you enjoyed a bit of our wintry wonderland! Next time I'll share some of the artistry of Jack Frost!

Wow, you already have heavy snow this early of the month, but it's really are gorgeous!
Oh my goodness, you really did get an incredible amount of snow! I love it when it adheres to all the branches that way. It looks so puffy. What a lovely winter wonderland!
The early snow is always so pretty. By January, I find it loses its appeal... LOL
Snow on spruces is just lovely. :))
Cool photo of moon rise and sunset.
I hear you! I start getting pretty tired of it by January too!
It helps since I've developed a keen interest in photography and also that I have my indoor garden to retreat too!
Winter wonderland is such an apt description such a beautiful post
Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk :)
I love looking at snowy scenes! And you definitely have a lot of snow!
We have about an inch on the ground now... started snowing again early this morning.
Yes, it is the season when you start to expect the snow but it really was kind of thrown on us this year!
Well I make my adjustments and carry on, appreciating the beauty it brings and how clean it makes everything look plus I know the cold will be knocking out a lot of the pests we had in the garden so it's a matter of keeping warm and waiting to see what next year will bring!
Stunning the snow makes things look so amazing! None here in the UK yet although think it's dropping below 0 this weekend so hopeful wont be long; fed up with all the rain now 💯🐒
Wow! Winter sure did arrive, didn't it? Beautiful shots of a gorgeous winter wonderland!
Lovely! Growing up in Michigan I miss the snow, as I live in Oregon and we rarely get it. Last year however, our wee little town shut down for almost a week as we received 3 feet of snow in about 6 hours. Thanks for sharing your #wednesdaywalk

Wow! You really did get a dump of snow! And when you are not accustom to getting much that can sure throw you for a loop!
Hopefully it won't repeat itself again this year!
Absoulute Beauty 😍
That Tamarack is pure love 💯💕💕
Happy Winter 🙏

Beautiful snowy nature! We usually have a winter of 9 months out of 12 ... but something recently has been too warm for snow, only 2 degrees Celsius above zero.
Where abouts do you live where you get 9 months of winter?
We can usually count on about 6 months of winter.
Enjoy the warmer weather while you've got it!
That was what we were doing until this snow storm blew in!
Love it, reminds me of my childhood
Even though winter is so long here I do love the beauty of it and I think I would miss not having the four seasons! Where abouts did you grow up?
In southern Chile, my region belongs to what people call Patagonia, maybe you've heard of it?
Lovely! Yes I have heard of Patagonia!Mostly from the book "In Patagonia"
Beautiful pictures. I like early snow because you can enjoy it. Later on in the winter you get sick of it!

So true! I've taken to indoor gardening so it doesn't matter as much when winter drags on!
Fabulous photos here my friend, certainly magazine stuff.
That forest looks like a snowy dream world.
Blessings!
I never thought of magazines. Might be something I do when I retire.
Do you have photos published in magazines?
A lot for you to do when you retire my friend and it is good, as one has to stay busy.
Yes, I had a photo of the rare pink dragonfly placed in a USA wildlife magazine upon request. For no payment, as they conned me by saying that I would get a lot of exposure Lol
Blessings!

Wow!!! It's really winter and snowing at your place. We are hot here. Even though not as hot as in Bangkok. The sunset is beautiful and the moon is awesome too!
