Another Wet Wednesday Walk

After enjoying a warm and sunny week since my last Wednesdays walk post, I was greeted this morning with a dark and ominous sky. When I returned from walking the dogs, I grabbed my camera and went out to get a few shots before the heavy rain rolled in.

The clouds today

Other than bumping up the contrast to give a little more contrast, I didn't touch the color. The camera captured the actual dark and gloominess.

The duck

This is actually a wooden decoy who hangs out next to the dock. I still have yet to see a live duck come by to check this thing out,

A bottlebrush tree

Just to add a little color, here's a bottle brush tree.

Here comes the rain

Time to head home. Hopefully no rain next Wednesday!

Nice mood photography, low white fluffy clouds with dark ones threatening in between.

Bottle brush always a pretty flower to capture, as for wooden duck, well it's a sitting duck won't attract anything Roger.

Thanks for sharing your walk.

Thanks Joan! I'm not sure what the duck is doing there!

Wow great shots. Love the dramatic vibe those dark clouds give to the shots. Very nice!

Thank you for your comments!

Wonderful photo series! The ominous clouds are great, but that Bottle Brush Tree kinda stole the show for me, as well as the lovely ripples in that last shot! Bravo!

Thank you for your comments! I was happy to be able to get some color in with the bottle brush. It was just something to break up the gloom!

Excellent shots! The clouds really bring the weather to life and I can almost hear the wind.

Those bottle brush trees are so neat looking and aptly named for sure.

Right on!

Thank you for your comments! There was quite a bit of wind yesterday. There were gale warnings just off the coast!

Sure looks darm and ominous and then in contrast the warm colors of the Bottle Brush when I see it it always remind sme of home back in NZ, there is lots of bottlebrush there

Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk !tip

Thank you for your comments and tip! I just needed to get in some color on the otherwise gloomy morning.

I can relate to the need for color :)

That looks so amazing especially the first photo. It looks like there's so much emotion going on . Thanks for sharing this!

Thank you for your comments! We did get quite a storm. I just walked in the door when the heavy rains started!

These are some powerful images of the sky. They have such life and contrast...very well done!

And what a fabulous entry it is! I also use a Canon Powershot for all of my photos!
Blessings!

Thank you for your comments! The Powershot is a great little camera.

Beautiful photos! I like getting out in gloomy weather like that. I think it's much preferable to the heat. It's getting hot here already and I'm starting to dread the coming triple digit heat waves this summer.

Thanks Derek! That's why we'll be heading up to New Hampshire for the summer. Summers are generally a bit milder up there.
