RE: Wednesday walk challenge and Steem Basic Income Give away

in #wednesdaywalk6 years ago

It is amazing I did run it once I was thinking of doing a ultra marathon of 100 miles so as a test I ran this beach original plan was to also run back but I decided 50 plus miles was far more than enough for me and the guys that met me at end with water and food all agreed a visit to a bar or seven on the road trip back was better thinking lol

Sort:

I bet, that was a nice run.
I used to run too until I was about 30, but more for me alone in the woods, along a river or on a mountain.
At about 30 I started smoking cigarettes and didn't do much sports anymore from then on, until last year, when I have quitt smoking for the third time. Now I go for walks as often as I can, and I go hiking on the mountains :)

It was indeed by the water it didn’t feel that long till the last few miles it was so relaxing fir the most part
And as for smoking I was bad was smoking back when I was running I would take a break or cut right back a few days before doing a marathon but then fall back into it after it

Glad to say I have finally broken that habit for a few years now

Yes, I am also glad that I have quit smoking last year and I hope I will never fall back into this bad habit again.

I still know how it felt to run longer distances, so I know very well, what you are talking about. But I was not able to run anymore, shortly after I was stupid enough to start smoking with 30.

It is a very bad habit,I started when I joined the army 19 when I smashed my Kneecaps and could barely walk let alone run for quite a few weeks and was told I would never run again, I do not Ike being told I cant do things so i got back into Running and did a few marathons and triathlons but never gave up smoking till a few years ago.

What a story - sounds like movie story, if you know what I mean.
I admire you for persevering in spite of these statements and for showing people the opposite.

Yeah I know what you mean, wait till I let slip MY experiences with Planes or just Missing experiences with planes LOL, thats a movie in the making I tell you

It’s determined back then, and now I feel the aches of my crazy youth

No, please don't tell me about planes ... I don't like flying anyway ;)

This way we are all the same ... when we are young we don't think, that we could get old one day, and for example, when we read in the dark without an appropriate light that our eyes will get bad ... or that smoking damaged our lung ... and so on ... one day we all get the bill - my back and my neck hurt and I can not read a newspaper without my glasses because sometimes I sat in front of the computer for up to 20 hours a day.
