For the last couple Wednesdays, it certainly has been wintery enough up here. A couple weeks of solid low temperatures and many snow days sure remind you it is still winter. Hibernate? No way!

I have to admit whenever I see "Let It Snow", my mind always seems to take me back to the Saturday Night Live skit where Sean Connery is playin Jeopardy and chooses Le Tits Now for 800.
I took this picture looking out the front window next to my curation chair. A few nights of overnight snow must look magical to my friends near the equator. Days like this make me so glad I work for myself and can do so without a commute.
A couple more nights of blowing snow and the snowbanks are piling up even more. The plow fills in the end of the driveway and I shovel it right back out again in this winter dance.
For some, the snow is a bigger deal. This is my friend Mike's place after hiring a roof snow shoveller. How Canadian is that? Seems the flatter roof on his newer home didn't like the sheer weight of the snow and he heard an alarming cracking noise. To make matters worse, he has mobility issues and needs these paths clear for his wheelchair, especially in times of emergency.
That is where me and the big guy come in bringing snow blowers and shovels to help out.
It took a shift and a half but we got him all cleared out and he is safe and warm if not almost snowed in.
Back at home, I have my own snow blower and a little one who is beg enough to operate it now! Takes her a while but she earns $10 and I make a nice warm supper while she gets the job done.
I still try and get out to the dog park daily for a stroll in the outdoors. The trails have at least a foot of packed snow and you walk a little higher.

You know who drags me to the park every day and isn't concerned with the amount of snow or how cold it is? This guy. It seems he is always having the time of his life and pouncing through the snow is no exception.

City Hall is even getting piled up. Fortunately, the forecast looks like a few more days of deep cold but mercifully less snow. Then, back to the freezing mark next week. Too early to hope for winter retreating? I guess we will see. 'Til then, thanks for taking the snowy walk with me.

Wohooo, this is real snow! It snowed in my village for a few days but there was none on the ground. Maybe a few centimeters. Very nice shots!
Ya man there is quite a lot of it. The past few years, there were cold spells but usually relief between that would allow snow to melt somewhat. This year, 3 straight weeks at least of well below zero and 3 storms in a row for some REAL winter!

Wow! That... it... a LOT... of... SNOW!!! 😂 I can't remember when I saw this much snow in my whole life! Maybe 1 year in almost a half of my century-life... 😃 It was fun when I was a kid, but I suppose it wouldn't be fun as an adult... Also, as you said, working from home helps a lot... 😃
Thanks for sharing!! Always nice to see PHOTOS of snow... 😄
I have picked this post on behalf of the @OurPick project! Check out our Reading Suggestions Posts!

Haha thanks! It is so much compared to recent years for sure. I remember 1 year a few ago that was like this and I immediately bought a snowblower. Glad I did!
Hahahaah... I remember one neighbor reacted similarly, but he bought a snowmobile... He used it just a few times THAT year, and never again as it doesn't snow like that often... hahahaha... Bad investment...
In your case, a snowblower makes sense a lot!
LOL I remember that ski with Les tits now always brings me a chuckle
OK I have to stop complaining about the cold and snow here, we have had hardly any especially compared to what you have had to deal with
Thanks for joining the Wednesday walk
Have a great day
Ya man it is a good amount for sure. I have been meaning to post more often and love that I can easily come back for more Wednesday walking pretty easily.
The pictures are very beautiful and I love playing in the snow.
Ah thanks! Most people I talk to up here are pretty tired of playing in the snow at this point!
Wow, the snow was spectacular! Donyou love it?
