Good Morning, dear Hive community.
Today we decided to start walking directly from home.
In the around 7 o'clock, we opened the roller blinds and witnessed a blue sky. Prompt, Steffen jumped out of the bed and went to make coffee and preparing the breakfast.
When there is good weather, we unusually don't stay at home. The outdoors are calling us and after breakfast in bed we decided to walk to a nearby hill on the foot of the Krn mountain at 2244 m.
Some days ago we managed our equipments and filled up our spice resources. A half an hour later, we were ready to start walking to the nearby forest where the trail begins. The weather was just perfect for a hike, as the sun still did not have so much power.
The forests here in Slovenia are super enjoyable. So many different trees, wild plants and herbs. Here you can forget about all your worries and be in the moment and observe what nature has to offer.
The silence is something remarkable, no sounds of cars, city noises or airplanes. Maybe we could not hear anything due to the sound of the leaves and the insects and the water from the rivers.
Some of the path was quite a challenge to master due to the heavy rainfalls in the past days the trail was quite muddy, and some path were leading directly though the rivers itself.
This was a challenge but on the other hand side - an adventure and a lot of fun.
When we reached the top hill, we enjoy the view. Laying in the grass and observing the valley and the small movements of the cars and the Soca river. The sun was pleasantly warming our bodies.
Earlier at home, we refilled our cooking station, so we could make a delicious lunch outdoors - tasty pasta with veggies.
We used the spinach from our own garden and some ruckola salad too. We can't wait for more vegetables to be ready, as we planted a lot this year.
Furthermore, we reached back in the afternoon and finished the day with sitting on the terrace and talking about or next adventures.
