It's time to get a grip and reverse this hideous slide into morbid obesity.
2016 was the year I lost both my mother (86) and wife (63) to cancer. To say the last couple of years have been challenging is a bit of an understatement. Needless to say I have neglected myself for quite sometime now and find the pounds have been piling on with no great difficulty.
At the beginning of January I weighed in at 132 kg (290 lbs), it was time to take action, I was becoming breathless and my legs were ulcerating.
I decided to launch a campaign of meticulous calorie counting with the help of https://account.healthvault.co.uk/. Things went well to begin with and by April I'd got down to 116 kg (255 lbs) then I seemed to hit a brick wall, the weight stopped falling. This caused a great deal of frustration and depression so I decided to take a break.
Needless to say I've now crept back up to 121 kg (265 lbs) and am feeling very angry with myself, so here I am desparately trying to re-motivate myself.
I'm trying to lose a bit of weight myself. It isn't easy, with me traveling and people buying me drinks all the time. All I can say is don't buy food that you feel isn't healthy for you. Focus more on whole fruits and vegetables if you can. The more fiber and water content a fruit or vegetable has, the better it generally is for you.
Wishing you well.
