It is in the Tropical, a bit humid but the water are perfect.

Phuket is a great place for vacations. We are located in Phuket-town and visiting all the beaches of the island.

Great way to escape the winter! I'd go mainly for the fresh food! Thai food is my favorite. I already am in a hot island, so escaping to another hot place might not be a biggie, but the food and culture might be very interesting.
