I support whalepower and use the #whalepower tag on select posts, my 2 cents is another drop in the bucket. Being an extreme introvert I am trying to break out of that and be more interactive and comment on more stories and posts.

I am. I don't use the tag on all my posts since you manually curate if I'm correct... So would more posts to look through be more beneficial due to traffic for the tag or does it make life harder for you? Just trying to understand the intricacies...

Darn - I didn't tag my last few posts accordingly with #whalepower.
You're certainly followed and appreciated.
It's harder than coconut to gain traction - even with much effort going into content and using exclusively created art work.
But as many have told me here on Steemit - persistence, quality, engagement.
One reason I didn't use the tag is that some posts I had tagged were not curated by @bullionstackers. So the question that stood - which tag to invest in to gain the best possible exposure.
This is not criticism, as I can imagine the account getting v busy at high traffic times. Anyway...

I am still following the community and reading in the #whalepower tag, mostly to find people to follow. My upvote is currently worth $0.01 to $0.02, but I cast 10-12 of them a day for quality content.
I only manually curate when I do, I believe in reading the posts that get my vote.
I have seen positive growth from using the tag, this is one good curation trail.

Guys, have to be honest with you, i used the whalepower tag for 1 month in over 20 posts or more, and hardly got 1 o 2 upvotes worth of cents, so i kind of stopped using it because got better results using other tags, so that is probably the reason you are not getting enough response and support..
I like what you are trying to do, but curating this many people manually is probably too hard, and will end up with many people using the tag and not getting results, leading into frustration (i kind of felt frustrated after the first 2 weeks using the tag and getting nothing)...
Also the "WHALEpower"tittle could be a bit misleading and confusing, some people could be expecting to get a WHALE to upvote them, which is not true, whales have over 500k steem power and can get big payouts to many people, and that is not happening here, maybe you could change your project name to something like "minnowhelp" or "minnowpower" or something like that...
Also consider using auto-vote bots, take the minnowsupport project as an example, that been working pretty well...
This are just some ideas, and personal recommendations, don't take it as criticism my friends...

Hi @dreamrafa, from what I've been reading and also in chats with @bullionstackers, the goal of #whalepower is 2 folds.
To create a platform where good content is rewarded - esp for the minnows who have put in effort to write but due to another user paying for upvotes, they get pushed down the feed. After awhile they get discouraged and may leave Steemit. Unfortunately they only way to sift through content is to manually curate - anything automated defeats the purpose.
Being part of #whalepower is the power of the collective and not the individual - this means many minnows swimming together have the power of a whale. The nature of Steemit at the moment is mostly individualistic and rewards driven - this can be seen in the advancement of the services provided by the cornerstone members of the community - auto upvotes, bot and other features are there for individual users to purchase in order to improve their reputation and also increase rewards payout. This is not wrong. I believe that the objectives in #whalepower goes beyond that in the sense that we are an online community together, minnows join and dolphins leave, some might return as whales as a way to say thanks to the community. Some might never return.
It's true that @bullionstackers is not a whale for now but I believe that he will be one day. Hopefully I will also be growing along side in #whalepower and #steemit community.

Ive been on steemit for over 5 weeks now. I have 105 posts and many upvotes. Still my wallet contains $1.93. I have resteemed other people who promise to send some steem power, but I never see it. Im wondering if there is anyone out there that can guide me to a knowledgeable person that will and can answer some simple questions for me. I would appreciate any suggestions.
