Yes, i understand. i read a ton of posts a day. But i read the comments more cos i look out for the human and that is where it lies and that is where most of the spread of my votes happen and that is where community lies because any steemian from any part of the world can come there and it helps the whole ecosystem.
for the #philippines curation is different. It just started growing, so my curation varied over time based on the vibe in the community. No one is perfect, so even in my curation, i may favor effort sometimes even over content. If you visit #untalented, you will notice how people startout their very first post upon finding untalented especially for the philippines. We also give them room to write in Tagalog under #pilipinas and train other curators. So the approach is so so so different from what may have happens in other places on steemit but this is because of the genre community. i also support events, appear at events etc and work with other renown veteran steemians, donkeypong, hanshotfirst etc (normally i never mention names) who give their valuable time and even power to make this growth happen. Plus, other witnesses. Too many people from other nations help the ecosystem under hashtag philippines by looking to engage in the comments there. when untalented happened which was a curriculum shapes to help most us in developing nations evolve, the first contest generated up to 300 full blown post entry, where steemians needed to dig in fully into who there are, untalented 1.0 was titled who are you and the next contest was titled, a snapshot of your blockchain before steemit and a snapshot now. weeks alone of that generated more than 2500 comments. I dont even get to post cos of too much business. In the last 30 days, i only posted 10 times and each post generates a ton of comments and i respond and vote on each. recent issues with steemit affected my curation, thus my curation style. These are the things unseen to many. but i am sure you will understand.
more recently the content and number of people is arising and curation method is adjusting. My comments is where my curation lies as i dont just upvote. for many who are down, i call them in chat. if cheetah visits them we discuss it. if there are looking for how to invite friends, i have an idea factory. recently, i saw a beatboxer filipino and i asked if he has a community and let's invite them, to do their intrp post in a beatboxing shoutout video etc to make their entry seamless and i go in his facebook group and have discussion with his team. That is how curation in #philippines work. It is a growing community, thus the spread. I only tried to answer to national park in a bid to teach. It is a community and people have different views.
So that is the path is am taking. Other communities are different too, so their approach with curation is different too. I understand. It is just that newer steemians may not get the full picture. I have no problem with this.
