It's not just the price that's crashing; posts are down, users are down, votes are down, comments are down ... steemit is dying, that's obvious.
So, after being a very valuable member for so long, I didn't post for 30 days, as I realized that only way to be successful around here is by licking the ass of the whales ... that's it ... that's no fun, so just like thousands and thousand before me ... I quit ... I walked away and forget about it.
But a few days days ago I saw some meme on google plus about steemit, so I have another look ... here first;

If people buy or lose on Steemit no one forced them to buy into or out of Steem.
You go to a dog racing track, a horse race, Casino or buy and sell IBM, Microsoft, Apple or Burger King stock you run the risk of profit or loss.
I earn cryptocurrency every day, I can chose to power it down our invest it in myself and power up. No one was promised anything and if people decided freely to buy Steem months ago that was their individual choice.
If they wanted safe and secure they should have bought government water bonds that pay out 3 % after twenty years. Personally people have the right to make free decisions about their money and if people own steem and choose to sell it, that is their right ! ! !
Maybe we should have an election on Steemit to say if and when and why and how people should power up or power down. I love the idea of an open uncensored transparent permanent block chain that tells people how to transact their property they independently earned.

This weeks election results , if your account ends in the letter Y then you are allowed to sell off 29 steem on such and such platform between the hours of 3 am and 5am next Thursday only. Failure to abide will result in an equal penalty plus ten % administration fee as reparations due to non-compliance . . .

If you go to the casino you expect to lose, you play the stock market you expect to lose . . .
Sure people do not want to lose, but whenever has life been fair, Steem will go up or down and if anyone is choosing to play with real money that is their gamble.
What is wrong is to blame anyone anywhere for personal investment strategies, no one twisted anyone's arm to buy into all this I have purchased steem and I purchased it when i wanted it. I wanted steem at a particular time and that is besides the fact i was sure the market would fall further.
Simply if people make bad choices it is wrong to try and blame others . . .

That the platform was having serious prolems or that people were just not prepared to try and show some loyalty and work together to try and make it work.
Reality says Steemit still has hope simply because even MySpace is still around, sorry Steemit was just not strong enough to make you into an instant millionaire in its first quarter ! ! !

Sometimes when something has a cancer it is necessary to cut out and remove that poison before it can spread and kill the entire organism, its a lousy deal but the needs of the one cannot outweigh the greater good achieved by the exiling of a traitor . . .
Exactly, there is no shortage of investment opportunities. So, if steemit wants to nuke it's chances of being on the receiving end of opportunities. So be it.
There is no way that Steemit could lose 80% of its value in 30 days. Steemit was released in April 2016, public payouts the 4th July 2016. Since then people have just made up any figure that entered their heads.
Simply some fool suggested Amazon is probably a TRILLION dollar company or some other ridiculous valuation based on no realistic facts. There was nothing known about Steemit in history, it is a blogging social media platform that pay real rewards in cryptocurrency onto the blockchain.
Simply put some people invented an artificial totally unproven figure and then found out they had not the first clue about anything and that figure continues to be revised downward as history and experience start to provide real figures.
To reword this whoever made u those figures is a sharlitan or conman since any person with self respect or a professional reputation would simply have refused to speculate about something they could never have known about.
Thus there is no way Steemit lost any money and nor is Steemit losing money today. Steemit is moving to its correct position in the marketplace according to the economic law of supply and demand. In fact the developers would actually have a legal case that these valuations deliberately overvalued the price of steem and that caused actual economic losses as steemit had to endure its movement toward it real economic valuation.
Regardless of that what has any of that got to do with any one person on Steemit ? You were welcomed and you chose to act like a clown by being nasty toward others and were removed from our circus.
One day steemit might fail or it might succeed since the future is unknown but why would it be good to have someone like you around to observe the failure or success of Steemit. You chose your actions and you were duly rewarded as you deserved....
