In the simplest terms.. SMT's will allow any application developer to launch a content publishing platform and use the distribution of new tokens to incentivize content creators to publish to that platform. The SMT tokens may or may not acquire a value on the market. This will depend if the SMT token community decides to hold or dump the token on the market. Ideally they would hold the token and use the vested SMT power to increase their influence on the various content platforms.

I understand it from their perspective, its software as a service, free of charge. The thing is I have only heard it described to their benefit. Why is this good for either content producers or viewers ? I dont understand how they arent getting shafted. Which is why I know Im missing something, because it just looks weirdly martyristic .
