📛 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT from the WHALESHARES Community

REGARDING WHALESHARE TOKENS

Please be advised that the SP delegation from @Blocktrades to the @OfficialFuzzy account has been retracted.

This has reduced the 100 Whaleshare Token (100%) vote value to $0.51 (roughly).

It is advised that you hold on to any Whaleshare Tokens you earned or won at this time while a proper exchange option has been set up. @OfficialFuzzy is looking into options and will make an announcement in the near future.

If you have purchased tokens on the DEX, it is not advisable to use them for an upvote at this time as you will be at a substantial loss.

📈 The Whaleshares Community has grown rapidly over the last 6 months and accomplished so much in helping important projects and outreach programs here on Steemit.

💗 While the reason for the sudden removal of the delegation is unclear, we as a community have to remember to be thankful for the support @Blocktrades has given us in the past and be forever grateful for the opportunities that it provided to so many here on Steemit.

Well, it was good while it lasted. An explanation would have been nice though. Another community support initiative bites the dust?

Damn that is some bad news thanks for letting us know need to do some changes in my Bitcoin Course Challenge which is sponsored by Whaleshares.

Yes, please contact @Akrid on discord for changes to contest/challenge support.

Okay done thanks bro.

Whales suck!

Not all of them ;-) We were happy and grateful to have the delegation for as long as we did. It help to launch the Whaleshares community and prove the concept of community interactive support does work.

What is a Whale Share Token?

Whaleshares are cross-platform tokens (between Bitshares and STEEM) that could be used to upvote a post from a participating Whale account. This were a ground-breaking concept when @OfficialFuzzy first introduced the idea.

They were earned through participation in events, involvement in Steemit community activities, and given away as prizes for various contests and challenges hosted by other users on Steemit. These tokens, along with its sister token BeyondBits, helped to encourage involvement and interaction on so many levels here on Steemit.

The voting power was generously delegated to the community account to increase the rewarded value of the tokens, but unfortunately the delegation has been taken back yesterday.

The community is working through options at the moment to revitalize the initiative.

Sad news.
