WhatsApp has been sent a legal notice by a Delhi lawyer on Tuesday. These notices have been sent due to the 'middle finger' emoji on the WhatsAppSpace platform. The lawyer has asked WhatsApp to remove emoji from the app within 15 days. In the event of non-removal, the lawyer has said to file a civil or criminal case against the company.

According to the news of the news, the lawyer says that Middle Finger Emoji in Whatatsapp is a vulgar and indecent gesture which is abusive in India. In the notice, the lawyer has said that showing the middle finger is not only derogatory but aggressive, obscene and indecent.

The lawyer has said in the notice that it is a crime to show obscene, vulgar, aggressive gestures to any woman in India under section 354 and 509 of Indian Penal Code. Thus, the use of a vulgar, aggressive and obscene gesture by any person is illegal. In Ireland, it is a crime to show Middle Finger under Section 6 of the Criminal Justice (Public Order) Act, 1994.

It was further stated in the notice that, in this way, by promoting middle finger emoji in your app, you are directly promoting vulgar, vulgar, aggressive gesture.
