For more than a year now Robert Muellers Special Council has been investigating alleged ties between Trump, his team, and the Russian government. More recently, the Democratic party has brought forward a lawsuit against Trumps team, Russia, and Wikileaks. Part of the charge made by the democrats in the lawsuit is that Russia hacked the DNC servers and passed the documents on to Wikileaks to help Trump winning the 2016 election.
Although this is the basis of the DNCs argument, the only evidence they've provided to back up their claim comes from the Clinton aligned private cyber-security firm, Crowdstrike. There's even less evidence to suggest that Russia passed said documents on to Wikileaks. Since that report was published in late 2016 Wikileaks has unfairly been called everything from a Russian cut-out and Putin Puppet, to a hostile non-state intelligence agency, and even a terrorist group.
The Clinton camp are pinning all their hopes on this one report from Crowdstrike. But what if that one report could be debunked?
The very nature of their setup makes Wikileaks a far more technical media organization than most. For over a decade they have been using digital forensics to verify documents and data. Given their technical expertise it would be safe to assume that Wikileaks would have logs of everyone that has leaked to their organization over the years. If the DNC emails did in fact come from Seth Rich, like many of us believe they did, then it should stand to reason that Wikileaks would also have logged evidence of this, just as Kim Dotcom and Assange himself have more than eluded to over the past 18 months.
If this is the case then you may be wondering why Wikileaks has yet to provide this evidence to the Mueller investigation. Well, I see a couple of reasons for this. First, Mueller hasn't requested any information from Wikileaks relating to the leaks. Secondly, it would go against Wikileaks strict ethical rule of never revealing a source.
My theory is that Wikileaks is patiently waiting until the Mueller investigation is over and the final verdict has been made public before deciding whether or not to say anything. If Muellers investigation comes back and clears Russia and Wikileaks from any involvement in the 2016 presidential election then Wikileaks won't need to prove itself, and they'll be able to maintain their 100% record of keeping their sources secret.
Only if the Mueller investigation is corrupt enough to come back with a guilty verdict will Wikileaks need to come out with proof Seth rich was the source of the leaks. Revealing the source of the DNC documents is essentially a last resort for Wikileaks.

witchhuntinvestigation from the very beginning.Wikileaks information has been solid from the very beginning of their existence and I would suggest they haven’t even been asked as this would open a can of worms the DNC don’t want opening.
The lawsuit is a joke and in my opinion a serious overreach by the DNC, time will tell but I think this is the beginning of the end not only of this investigation but of the DNC in its current format, they’re finished if they go ahead with this lawsuit they won’t stand up to the discovery.
I hope Wikileaks lasts and remains a problem for the Clintons and their likes, but even if wikileaks' initial intention was good, I do not remember when did they publish anything that Putin did not like.
Is it fair to assume that they never received a donation from Putin or one of his vessles?

except you are leaving out the fact that they DID publish an entire trove of documents about russian surveillance. the idea that they have never done anything russia did not want them to do is easily proved wrong with a quick search of the internet.

on a side note, james clapper is an outright liar, and has been caught doing as much before congress. that is what should matter; facts. speculation about putin is worthless, and the narrative towards russia in our msm is nothing less than abject bigotry, no better than hating persons who look, sound or act different than we do.

Because secret surveillance is the least of Putin's atrocities.
So I was still more right than wrong about Wikileaks (as well) even if you surprised me a little.

Please don't fall for the MSM narrative. They lie to you.
They rarely lie.
Most of the time they do what most of the alternative media does, which is expose the truth only as long as doing so promotes their (sponsors') agenda.
The MSM hides parts of truth about Putin too, partly because Putin is an evil dictator whom silences every criticism about him one way or another and knows how to destroy evidence, and because even exposing what they know about him in an encyclopedic manner, documentary style will cause a diplomatic incident if it will ever be aired/uploaded.
Putin has a stranglehold on the "west" too, just not as much as in his enslaved country.
The MSM and the alternative media are more resemblant than what you are willing to admit, for some interesting reason.

Am pretty sure we're going to see a guilty verdict and I hope you're right about Wiki leaks then coming forward. I've lost all hope relying on the integrity of deep state elements to get a fair verdict
I agree. I'm confident Wikileaks does have undeniable evidence that Seth Rich was the source. If they do and Mueller still comes back with a guilty verdict then Mueller and his crew will be in a whole heap load of trouble.
