A lot of Australian soil will be scared and damaged which will effect crop production of such a vast continent, including the upcoming spring and summer growing season......keep up the good work @solarshutdown

Actually the soil will get better - more enriched due to the biochar. Most areas that burned in 2003 are more lush than ever.
Forests burning regularly is needed for mineral replenishment. Preventing controlled burns leads to fires like the ones were experiencing now.
