Hello Steemians,
I wanted to show this to you because often, a lot of apps and information I give you in my tutorials, have very specific time sync stuff it needs. And time sync issues always arise.
Time sync issues with apps are not usually an issue with the app, but a Windows bug in general. If you’re seeing “Warning: Please check that your computer’s date and time are correct!”, or something similar, then you need to sync Windows. Thankfully, there is a very simple fix. There are multiple time synchronization tools out there, but most are full blown programs that can be laggy or use too much memory.
Steps for Time Synchronization:
- Go to this website and download NetTime 3.14
- Install NetTime
a. Make sure “Install as Service” is check-marked - On the bottom right hand side of your taskbar, click the up arrow to show all
- Right click the NetTime tool and select “Update Now”
That’s it! Now restart the app and your error should be gone. Sometimes you will have to start the client 1-2 times. In very rare cases, I have had to reboot the entire system to get apps to resync with the new Windows time.
