Microsoft has started to mark uTorrent, the popular download program, as malicious software.

The torrent download program, uTorrent, which has millions of users gained its popularity thanks to its minimalism. Over time, the program has become so heavy that Microsoft and other companies have begun to mark it as a malicious program, reports Extreme Tech.

Microsoft has dedicated a page to uTorrent for some time, describing it as a potential threat to the system. Users did not receive any notification while running the program, but that has begun to change.
Now all Windows updates run the Windows Defender antivirus, and this is the one that has begun to warn that uTorrent is a "potentially unwanted software". According to Microsoft, uTorrent has a bad reputation and negatively impacts the operation of the system. Windows Defender puts the application in quarantine and does not let it run.

BitTorrent Inc, the company that owns uTorrent, has reported that it is a problem in the construction of the program, but the internet has been against uTorrent for a long time. No need to dig a lot to learn about the serious security flaws of uTorrent and the cryptocurrency mining that uses the power of the computers on which the program is installed.

Every now and then, I see a very informative post on Steem, and this is one of it. Thanks

Thank you very much :)

No. Thank you. This presents an opportunity for a block-chain based torrent client, owned by the people and for the people

That would be a great project, I for example shut down utorrent if I did not have downloads, because uploading my torrents to the community gave me lagg in the games and I did not receive anything in return, I see a good future for a platform to share files peer to peer who also pays you for being part of the network!
