We found another Barrossa beauty!
This Satram 1859 is a medium to bold Barossa Shiraz. Plum and dark cherries permeate your palate, with silky soft tannins, and a smooth lingering finish. This is one of those wines which fill you mouth with flavour, and goes down effortlessly. We bought this one for $15, and is great value at that price, possible equal to some $30 plus wines we have tasted.
What a great drop to sit an sip in front of the fire while watching a Bruce Willis movie.
The weekend begins! Have a good one y'all
I also love a good Shiraz, they are just smoother than other reds - This one should be really good when aged a bit more!!
They can be very smooth. I find wines from some regions a lot heavier than others, but still maintain a good degree of smoothness. For some reason we never seem to be able to age our wines.... we keep drinking them🤣🍷
We do have one special bottle which we've managed to keep for a good few years. I just hope we've stored it well enough to enjoy the fruits of our patience.
