A bottle of Vin Jaune (yellow wine) from the Jura vineyards, vintage of 1774, reached the figure of 103,400 euros this Saturday at an auction on the French locality of Lons-le-Saunier and two other bottles of the same year were sold for 76.250 euros and 73.200 euros. "I did not believe that the bottles were sold so expensive, the last record was in 2011 with the figure of 57,000 euros," Brigitte Fénaux was pleased with auction house Jura Enchères, auction organizer. All three bottles on 1774 may be the world's oldest wine bottle in the market. The Brands have a Vin Jaune produced by Anatoile Vercel (1725-1786) coming from a cultivated vine during the Louis XVth period and picked during the reign of Louis XVI.
"Buyers are Canadians and someone has bought for American account," added Fénaux. The bottles are of the "Burgundy" type, with a flat bottom and with fine thin neck and with an amount of 87 centilitres, have been stored for more than 200 years by the descendants of Anatoile Vercel in an underground canteen in Arbois, the capital of wines of Jura. All three bottles were auctioned. A dry wine tasting was organized in 1994 at Château Pécauld in Arbois by 24 summer professionals. With ocher flavor, walnut, spices, curry, cinnamon, vanilla and dried fruit, the precious drink received 9.4 out of 10 full marks from specialists. Two bottles of the same harvest were sold in 2011 at Arbois for 57,000 euros and in 2012 in Geneva for 46,000 Swiss francs. In total, 115 bottles came out on auction this Saturday. The whole sale amounted to 310,526 euros including the costs.

Lol this is funny tho, why so expensive?
Because it is old wine and the older they are the better they taste and their price is higher but this price is really high. Only a billionaire could afford it hehehe
