I just started using the Brave browser and attempted to add the Keychain extension. What I found was the ability to add the CHROME extension. Is that the one to use or is there a specific one for Brave? I'm afraid to just TRY adding it to Brave in case something goes wrong. I suppose it is safe to have the extension on BOTH Chrome and Brave at the same time?

Yes, you just add the chrome extension to brave. You can have it installed on both chrome and brave at the same time although you will have to add your accounts separately on each.
