State of the Witness #13 - SteemCreate, Listen To Steem, SteemDevs Voter Trail
This week has been BUSY BUSY! There has been some AMAZING developments, CRAZY price pumps, and just straight up SILLY SHIT happening in crypto.
SteemCreate - Account Creation Service
This week was the launch of the SteemCreate Account Creation Service. SteemCreate allows users to create a Steem account with a valid credit card or Bitcoin. This process will completely bypass the verification process that SteemIt has users go through. Hopefully, the users that are a bit more protective of their identifiable information find this new option for creating accounts useful. When a user creates an account through the SteemCreate service, 6 SP will immediately be deposited back into the account allowing the user to begin participating in the block chain right away.
Listen To Steem
Perhaps you remember the famous Listen To Bitcoin service that visualizes Bitcoin transactions with bubbles and music. If not, don't worry because I recreated it for Steem. Listen to Steem allows users to be able to a visual representation of the votes and transfers that are occurring on the Steem blockchain in real time. Soon, the vote bubbles will show the actual $$ amount of the vote being cast.
SteemDevs Voter Trail
Many of you know that I run the developer centric Discord server, SteemDevs. This server is purpose built to encourage Steem development and to assist users with any questions or issues they may encounter. Our mascot @r2steem2 handles registration for users. When a user joins the server, they can join the registration channel and interact with r2steem2. After completing the verification process, the SteemDevs voter trail will be active on the user. For a small registration fee that will be used to support the hosting services SteemDevs provides, you will receive a constant stream of automated votes on your posts.
MinnowSupport Vote App
If you have seen this post by @minnowsupport you will know that MSP Witnesses are being asked to submit a formal application for witness vote by answering the following questions:
What are you pledging to do to support the Steemit Community?
This one is easy as I am a very active contributor to open source development in the Steem community. I run SteemDevs, provide software and support directly for MSP, and constantly help new developers learning how to program on the Steem blockchain. What are you pledging to do to support the Minnow Community?
I am benefitting minnows through the promotion and support of developers that are building services for the entire Steem community. By enabling these users to more effectively make their programs, minnows are directly benefitting by the price spikes relating to the entire currency. What are you pledging to do to support the Minnow Support Project?
I will continue to help Minnow Support through my efforts as a developer, systems administrator, and community leader. By supporting the creation of new projects for MSP, I will ensure that new users are consistently presented with new and exciting features that improve their time on Steem.
