Hi all, once again me and my boring updates.
This week was my birthday and a few other personnel issues have kept me a little away from the keyboard.

Now what are your excuses to have not yet approved my witness node ?
Vote for the Witness... I am a link :)

However something that always has bothered me is how difficult it seems to cast a witness vote... I hate looking at the approve / unnaprove in the list of my witness votes, this happens because you need to login with the active key and the vote system is very badly done, (one would think voting witnesses is something, no very important if judged by the page where we are supposed to vote.)
SteemConnect V2 to the rescue
While playing with the steemconnect V2 API to make a proper trail, i found this voting method for witnesses:
https://v2.steemconnect.com/sign/account-witness-vote?witness=nnnarvaez&approve=1
You just need to replace my name for your witness name and upon clicking steemconnect will require the users active key and cast a witness vote.
You can dress it in an image, to add to your posts signature

If you are a user following one of these links, please make sure you are well directed to SteemConnect webpage and not another site.
Vote @nnnarvaez as Witness or use the classical approach: https://steemit.com/~witnesses
Beep! Beep! This humvee will be patrolling by and assisting new veterans, retirees, and military members here on steemit. @shadow3scalpel will help by upvoting posts from a list of members maintained by @chairborne and responding to any questions replied to this comment.
Hi @nnnarvaez,
What happens if somebody clicks on that link twice (and logs in if necessary the second time or stays logged in?
Will it un-vote the witness like the ~witness page does; or
since it is called a VOTE link if the Witness is already voted for it will leave it unchanged?
The link serves to approve or dissaprove, the difference is in the 1 at the end (It will try to approve)
And if already approved, you get a message Current vote already exists No more vote unvote for witness :)
Awesome! It's reassuring that at least someone has common sense! Thank you by the way. Oh, and happy birthday!
That is very handy, to avoid those double votes from newbies where they approve and by mistake unapprove a few seconds later.
That was exactly what drove me to look into other options for the witness vote, I usually don't like much the fact that steemconnect asks for the action key or password to do most stuff, but for witness voting you got to put it anyway so it doesn't make much difference.
