Thats wierd. Well I succesfully voted for myself and have two other votes. https://steemdb.com/@chillbill my seed is processing etc... how did you check? Im still very new to this.

I didn't know it was possible NOT to be in the top 200, but that may be the case? You do not appear on this page.

Thats right I dont appear there, Im not thousand....but if you vote for me and its accepted, then Im live as a witness. If I wasnt the reply is that Im not an account.

That makes sense. I am on the air live in 10 min at http://mspwaves.com but I'll check you out later tonight. Do you have a witness manifesto post describing your values, goals, and community contributions I can review?

Ah yes. I read every word. You are a humorous and obviously intelligent soul who provided a very amusing read there. Well done. You clearly want to understand the process and overcame great hurdles to get to the point of an operational witness. I really mean all that sincerely.

However I cannot give you my vote. Not in good conscience.

Being a witness on the steem block chain is not the place for experiments nor people who are not 100% absolutely certain of their belief in this platform and the steem block chain technology's future, despite it's foibles today. It is not the place for people who have selfish intentions as you insinuate with the kissy-kissy metaphors. It is not the place for people who are not actively engaged and invested in the platform with their efforts, contributions and projects.

It is the place for people who invest their energies into significant projects that add value and contribute to the experience of the block chain residents and users. "Proof of Work" means more than just how the current block chain is made transparent and effective and proving you processed some blocks. PoW is about actually DOING some work, sir. It is about creating value and contributions that are available to the entire community and steem ecosystem.

Neigh, in fact it is the place for people who are 100% committed to actually enhancing and building this ecosystem with their individual and group contributions.

It is the place for people who want to play kissy kissy with the block chain users. Not just with themselves. That's where you misinterpret what is happening here and how it is getting done.

But given your inspiration comes from a man who brought an alleged 10K users here, most of whom don't actually participate in the platform beyond his self aggrandizing page, and who has a history of serious mistakes of selfishness and abuse of visibility, I am not shocked you learned these lessons wrongly from that source.

Spend some time on the platform. Come to love it and believe in it's future and offer something of significant value to the community and you might earn my vote. I liked your writing styles and we would probably enjoy having a beer together, if I drank. But I cannot give a vote to you, because it's not about you, it's about 100% commitment to this place. Not an experiment and not a joke. You're either all in, and certain of it, or you are on the fence or all out. There is only one kind of those I can vote for, and your post makes it clear you are in the middle, not the initial category.

All this is especially true for me because several users proxy their votes to me along with their trust I will make choices based on the kinds of criteria I outlined above. I'd be remiss if I squandered those votes on experiments.

Stick around though. You appear to have potential to learn and grow. I won't hold Banfield against you, if you can transcend him and yourself to become a believer, a contributor and a giver and not a skeptic, tinkerer or taker.

Only time and the experience will tell.

Good day.

But STEEM is not a POW (Proof of Work) system its a Proof of Stake system (POS)
