This is when I found out that Steem's economy is misaligned, thanks to @trafalgar's wake up call. Is the protocol seriously forcing me to post whatever and vote on myself or sell my votes all the time, just to keep up with others? Someone just selling their votes for the past 6 months will already be ahead of me by a whopping 50,000 Steem Power. Indeed that has been the case. So what's the point of content and curation? If you don't understand what I'm talking about, you can search for the posts on my feed. Just hide the resteems and scroll down.
I couldn't agree more and I can't think of anything more pressing to be changed. I'm working on something on that front.
What can be done? Some don't even see the problem, some say attitudes need to change, etc lol
edit: to add, i've tried speaking to some but it all points to either: get overwhelming community support, or just have the head of the helm (steemit) to finally decide that there's a problem/solution. it's so far misaligned i wonder why many don't think it's urgent to solve.
