Does anyone know the difference between a full node and whatever the alternative is? Is it that a full node holds the entire blockchain, or is it a speed of transactions thing (or both)?
Thanks in advance...

all nodes run 1 program, hived. The difference is the number of plugins enabled and what information can be provided. Full nodes basically store and allow access to all the information allowed to be accessed by hived.
Ah gotcha! Thanks!
I imagine a full node is significantly more expensive to run if it's storing all the information on the blockchain and plugins.
