I'm curious who the folks behind this project are? People we know from the chain, people with trust built with the community? Looks like the server funding comes from @thelord.oflords, but that account has only ever made one comment, so that doesn't tell us much.
I like the idea of a witness using direct democracy, and of further decentralization of funds through rewarding voters (though that will definitely get some flack as vote-buying), but I don't feel like I can just trust that these couple of posts are honest.
Hi @kennyskitchen,
I am the one that run the witness, @thelord.oflords is a friend of mine, but he does only curation and I think he never wrote a post in his life.
I think that, not only for we-the-people, we all must check time by time our votes for witness and trust but verify, as suggested by @sweecee.
Cool :-)
Well, I'll keep an eye on it, but for now I've given you my vote, about 33% of the total you had before.
Looking forward to seeing how it unfolds!
Thanks a lot!
