Hi Steemit!
Not a lot new this week. I changed my proposed interest rate for SBD to 0%. Primary and secondary witness servers are running great.
I continue to help out in #witness and hangout in #witness-social discussing witness and Steemit related topics.
Been focusing a lot more on anti-plagiarism and content theft efforts. This is such a huge problem and does a lot to undermine the goals of Steemit. I have opened discussion channels with my services to report and identify abuse on Steemit.
This week has seen a lot of discussion about flagging, abuse, and plagiarism. It's a very touchy topic but it is something that needs to be handled for Steemit to grow into something amazing. A lot of accounts abusing large chunks of delegation to create an upvote circle self-rewarding from multiple accounts. A few of these were hit very hard with @nextgencrypto's flagging campaign. We have found multiple users submitting stolen content through @buildawhale and have taken action to revoke our votes and blacklisting them.
I am currently #62 witness and active daily on Steemit and in Steemit related communities. Thank you to everyone who has supported me and those who are considering.
I always like to end my witness updates with something different and more personal. I just posted some cool Thanksgiving 3D Printing ideas today for those who are interested in my 3D printing posts.
I write on many topics, typically 3D Printing, small electronics and robotics, Steemit, Cryptocurrency, gaming, witness, and technical topics. If any of those interest you, consider following me.

Did you change the interest rate on SBD because of the price at the moment?
I can't work out why Steem price is being dragged up and beyond the SBD price.
What are your thoughts?

I changed it before the SBD pump. Initially, SBD was pumped due to a new Korean exchange listing STEEM/SBD and non-Steemians bought SBD instead of Steem raising the price. Now people are holding SBD at a high price and don't want to cut their losses too much, so the price is holding a bit.
I'm not 100% sure on the current pump, but I think it is a combination of current high being taken advantage, people holding at higher than the coin is worth, and some internal factors going on.
Cool, thanks for the info, I had no idea about that Korean exchange, I wish they'd start pumping Steem as well :-)
