@zeartul ran @bellyrub and has jumped ship from Steemit after running multiple scams and one last-ditch effort the other day to get 40,000 Steem from Steemians. Luckily the damage for the 40,000 Steem investment opportunity was shut down quickly, but many are out money from his @bellyrubbank and other private deals.
He also was quadruple dipping his Steem Power which he stopped paying days ago. He was selling voting power as @bellyrub bid windows, then self-voting @zeartul & @bellyrub, selling votes to @minnowbooster, and doing a clearance sale for selling 200-300% upvotes. He then moved all his liquid assets off Steem.
There are a lot of people with a lot of voting power still voting for @zeartul and helping him maintain a passive income. Although it isn't a lot ($250 or so/month) it should be zero.
No one knew the type of person he was until it was too late, but we know now. If you are not sure, check your witness votes and support witnesses you believe in and have an agenda aligned with yours. There are lots of options but witness votes should be visited frequently to as many people support witnesses in the top 50 that have been offline for many months.
Do not send any money to @bellyrub, @zeartul, @zear, @bellyrubbank.
If you have spare voting power, please flag his posts, he still has a lot of money available for potential payouts.

Thanks for posting this! I took @bellyrub off the bot tracker site right away once I found out about this but forgot that I still voted for zeartul as a witness. Just removed my vote - thank you for your work exposing this extreme abuse of the system.
Sigh, when I saw that he was selling bellyrub I should have requested my funds from bellyrubbank. Luckily it was only 20SBD, but that was like 10% or so of my income hear on Steemit. I had hesitations on doing it, but as a witness and leader in multiple communities, I thought it was an ok gamble.
Live and learn I guess.

you are very correct. their account should be "0". $ 250 also shouldn't be to such scmers. new commers will get distrubed by such fellows. i saw your 1st post also. thanks for the alert and bringing awareness. thank you.

This will not be an effective strategy. If you want to stop it you should encourage people not to use bellyrub.
I already had requested them to be removed from the bot tracker tool and have alerted many communities of this.
Oh I know, I'm just saying that @dang007 is not shy of flag for flag, obviously. No one should bother unless they have a comparable amount of SP.
He had already showed his stripes. This comes as little surprise, but the two times in chat that I asked about him and his scammy behaviour from weeks ago, I just go "eh!?" remarks.
This really sucks! Sorry to any and everyone at a loss!!!!
What makes this extra delicate is the fact that the bidbot debate is in full force right now, so It's not only right of you to speak up about this issue, I would say it's almost necessary to the health of the platform.
I would like to see other bot operators denouncing Scamatul as well... put some distance between the service he offered and what the service is supposed to be about.

When he said 40% Apr, it was quite fishy then...
I'm sure lending token platform took his idea...

Such a shitty move. I used randowhale a couple times probably a month or two ago. I didn't receive a vote the second time and he'd never respond on here or steemchat so I didn't use it anymore. Glad I didn't give him any more than the little I already did. I do feel bad for the people who had some big investments in bellyrubbank, wish y'all would somehow get your sbd and steem back and hope all can recover.
Such a shame for someone to take advantage of others. And yes, months ago I did vote for him for witness; removed it earlier today when I started hearing the horrendous stories.
I was fortunate NOT to have sent him any steem, sbd, etc ever. I feel for those who were scammed by his greed
I am loathe to help scams. I have been the object of scammers that appear so real and believeable and I have to think twice before I look again. That is outside of Steemit. On Stemit I would report it if I thought a scammer was at work. Tahnk you for posting this, always good to be aware. Not paranoid - aware!
I don't know why I found @zeartul a bit fishy when I came across his work, but at that time I had no idea of what he was doing. It was just a weird sixth sense feeling I had. Now I know what it was. Thank you for bringing this to our notice and for helping out the community @themarkymark.

Thank you so very much for this post @themarkymark! If I hadn't recently learned how important the job of witness is on the platform, I would give you my vote just for being a Space Cowboy. As I have recently learned a few things about witnesses, I think I would still give you my vote.

So THAT'S what this is. I saw that post about the 40K delegation thingy, but paid little attention to it. Bellyrub rings a bell, the name, too. Instinctively, I didn't feel a need to pay attention to his post. It's a shame he was able to scam so many people. Not cool.
