Users see the big payouts and think that's going to give them big curation rewards, that's a big part of what makes his posts go up. I go over that in one of my older posts showing that voting on smaller unrewarded posts will yield far more curation rewards.

Yeah, I agree, finding and upvoting a hidden gem is much more important (and rewarding) than upvoting the big players without even reading them. Unfortunately, JB is exploiting that sheep effect at will, and not only him. And I can't see any algorythms changing that in the near future...
