RE: What it means to me to be a woman / Qué significa para mi ser una mujer

in #womanpower7 years ago

At the beginning of civilization, women were destined only for the care and maintenance of the home.

Just to note : there is no way whatsoever for us to know if this is true, but it is more likely to be completely false, especially because at the beginning of civilisation we didn't even have the types of homes we culturally learned to maintain.

At the beginning of my civilisation (Celtic), there is loads of evidence of working women of trade. For example St Brigid of Christian Ireland is actually based on the pagan Goddess of fire and this Goddess was based on a woman who worked as a Smyth - creating weapons.

And of course we can do it alone; but with such a man, it is much more placid to build life, as the great Benedetti says "together we are more than two".

This is very beautiful and true. We can and have proven time and again that we can do it alone. But we would much prefer to find love and work together with somebody who makes it worthwhile to be a team.

You are right, I should not have generalized, in fact, as you mention, the Celtic culture stands out in that aspect, for not having to fight for gender equality, unlike the Roman culture, among many others. Thanks for the observation, I'll edit that part. Greetings.
