A Long Time Coming...
The past two years I have been wearing the same hand me down bra EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.
It began to literally rip at the seams a few weeks ago from being my support for the so long- while working. I make smoothies for a living- and our store is very successful (busy), so I am very active for hours at a time.
Although it doesn’t have underwire, I don’t think it supports me that well. It is thick and black (have trouble wearing half my wardrobe) and doesn’t hold me right.
How have I waited this long to invest in something so important to my health and something so close to my heart?! Working hard and in the groove? I’m not even sure myself, but it is very exciting to think that I am finally taking this move! Another step towards being a healthier, happier me!

Hippie Roots
Now I would prefer to wear nothing- like men do- and feel free to be who I am without the stares and uncomfortable vibes, etc...
There has been a lot of motion in the area of woman’s freedom this past year. We seem to be raising our voices- saying #metoo and expressing feels that have been held down for centuries. All out in the open.
There has even been movement to support “no support”! The bra-less movement is not necessarily new, but there seems to be kind of a resurgence lately! And it is focused on how it is literally a HEALTHIER option. Our breast health is supported by our natural state of being (Free! Imagine that.). When we constrict and shame what IS, it creates dis-ease.

SECURE
Now while I am all for those brave enough to go all out, I myself am not fully comfortable in the current social climate. I have tried it briefly, when I wasn’t working, and I didn’t like the way guys would treat me because of it. I have come to terms with the way the world is these days, overstimulated sexually and lacking respect, so I have learned to feel comfortable being covered just the same. The need to look “professional” in the work place, the need to feel acceptable to customers, and also being married and devoted to Juan man (pun intended, hehe)- it feels good to be modest and beautifully covered when in the public eye.
But where is the balance between bare and secure?

Barely Covered
A Happy Medium.
So it was quite an investment, but my two comfortable, light, flexible, organic fabric, wireless bras are on the way!
I decided that I’m not ready to be bare, but I still wanted the healthiest, most freeing and comfortable bra option out there.
I am really happy to find there are many companies now working to make bras for women that are healthier and less constricting! In this way, I feel supported by a community that cares for me. I enjoy giving money to companies that work extra to make their products with the health of the people and the planet in mind! Eco- companies for the win!

A Woman’s Choice
While we are living and loving in different experiences and belief systems- it is only natural that we will not all be comfortable with the same ideas of what is right for us.
So please let us respect each other’s choices and support each other!!!
Yeah! Girl Support! 🙌🏻 We got each other’s back!
Naturally and Beautifully different we are!
